Field Services Applications

While our platforms generally are able to display themselves in a mobile-friendly environment, sometimes you need a mobile native-application. We have extensive experience in developing not only native and near-native apps but also offline mobile applications that are able to sync when the user gets Internet access back. This capability has been a must have for many of our Disaster Recovery & Response projects.

Our Approach

With our mobile-first, resilient development approach, we:

  • Assess your field operation requirements to determine when native apps are essential beyond mobile-responsive platforms.
  • Build cross-platform solutions using both native and near-native technologies based on performance needs.
  • Prioritize intuitive user interfaces that function under stress in challenging field environments.
  • Integrate seamlessly with your existing enterprise systems and data workflows.
The Results

Our mobile in-field applications have delivered resilient, user-friendly solutions that function seamlessly in challenging field conditions—from disaster zones to remote census locations—enabling critical data collection and synchronization without connectivity constraints.

Featured Examples
  • Our team helped build the offline capabilities for the 2020 United States Census, which included 250,000 in-field enumerators asking census questions in the field under many different conditions.  This offline-capable system allowed the users to seamlessly upload their information from the field without having to click a button or take an action. All they had to do was get back into Internet access and open the App and everything else synchronised automatically.
  • We built an offline mobile Inspection system for field inspectors to evaluate properties after a disaster. This system allows the user to create drawings of the property, create custom data points and gather information, including photos, in the field. It also has an offline mobile capability to allow synchronization when off the grid.
